History

Gerrit Jan van Nifterik, tree grower in heart and soul. Everything started in 2008, in which Gerrit Jan van Nifterik set up the trade in tree nursery supplies at Huverba.

Because of his excellent service, high product knowledge, high motivation and a lot of perseverance, he has been able to win the trust of the client and the producers. Agro de Arend BV was founded in 2012 when Agro Buren BV (part of the nationally operating Van Wesemael Group) and Gerrit Jan van Nifterik took over the activities of Arends "De Arend" and all activities of Huverba in the tree nursery supplies.

In order to get Agro de Arend also better on the international map, in June 2015, Habo Belgium became part of Agro de Arend and in November 2015 all tree nursery activities of Van Nifterik Holland were taken over.

The result: a strong formula, combined knowledge of earlier and newer generations and now one of the larger international suppliers in the nursery sector. A good example of how a young and modern company can have a great history.
